Vikings elevate Nick Muse, Bobby McCain to active roster

The Minnesota Vikings announced a few roster updates ahead of its Week 16 road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Tight end Nick Muse and safety Bobby McCain have been elevated to the team's active roster from the practice squad, the team announced on Saturday.

Additionally, the Vikings also said fullback C.J. Ham did not fly with the team but was expected to join Saturday night in time for the game. As of Saturday night, Ham is listed as questionable to play against the Seahawks with an ankle issue.

McCain has appeared in 133 regular season games, including in purple against the New York Giants in Week 1 this season and again against the New York Jets in Week 5. He's logged three defensive snaps and 12 on special teams this year.

Muse has gone back and forth between the team's active roster and the practice squad this season. He's played in four games, against the Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old has played 17 snaps on offense and 47 on special teams, but is most known this season for getting cut on his birthday in November.

The team ended up re-signing Muse to its practice squad.

The Vikings and Seahawks will kick off at 3:05 p.m. CT at Lumen Field on Sunday.
