The Minnesota Vikings notched their third consecutive win after conquering the Tennessee Titans, 23-13, on the road on Sunday.
They took advantage of the Titans' lethargic start and erected a commanding double-digit at halftime, 16-3. The Vikings never looked back and cruised to the victory to improve to 8-2.
The Titans, on the other hand, fell to 2-8.
Minnesota quarterback Sam Darnold was impressive yet again, passing for 246 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for a score in the second quarter.
With the win, the Vikings swept their assignments from the AFC South. The team's official page on X made sure to flex the feat with a strong description.
"AFC South's worst nightmare," said the post.
Aside from the Titans, they also beat the Houston Texans, 34-7, in Week 3, the Indianapolis Colts, 21-13, in Week 9 and the Jacksonville Jaguars, 12-7 in Week 10.
After their latest victory, Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell once again pointed out the value of the 27-year-old Darnold in his first season with the squad.
“How he played in those moments was a huge indicator of a guy that had put the work in and was confident and just going out there and do his job," said O'Connell in a report from the Associated Press.
"He also overcame some things around him to make some plays, which was critical for us.”
Darnold signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the Vikings in the offseason.
They will gun for their fourth straight win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
