Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Release Window Confirmed In Set Video

A new set video from The Walking Dead: Dead City confirms the release window for season 2 while revealing a behind-the-scenes look at the next batch of episodes. Dead City season 2 continues the story of Maggie and Negan in New York City, following their rescue of Maggie's son Hershel from the Burazi. However, this mission involved Negan getting traded to the villainous group, now forced to help its leader, the Dama, in conquering other communities throughout the city.

Now, The Walking Dead has released a new behind-the-scenes video for Dead City season 2, confirming when the next season of the spinoff is going to air.

The set video teases zombie action, including a scene with an explosion on a boat, Perlie Armstrong teaming up with Hershel, and a first glimpse at Kim Coates' mysterious new character. The teaser ends by confirming Dead City season 2 will be released in 2025.

Everything To Expect From Dead City Season 2

Dead City season 1 ended with all the show's major characters going their separate ways following Hershel's rescue, with hints of their stories converging again in the future. While Negan has become a tool for the Dama to use in conquering the city, Maggie is going back to find him, seemingly to rescue him and put their differences aside. Meanwhile, the New Babylon Federation wants to know from Perlie how the Croat was able to use zombies as a power source, possibly requiring his return to New York City as well.

Given the behind-the-scenes preview of the upcoming season, it appears this next batch of episodes will be full of surprises. One of the more standout reveals is Perlie with Hershel in the forest, indicating the pair could meet each other on the road toward New York. The presence of a boat in one shot also indicates there's a way out of the city, which might be Negan's one shot of escaping the Burazi. Coates' new character is also expected to be important, likely becoming a key player in moving the plot along this season.
