Was Jax Taylor Fired From ‘The Valley’ Amid His Mental Health Crisis? Production Insider Speaks Out Amid Rumor Scheana and Lala Will Replace Him on Season 2

Did Bravo fire Jax Taylor from The Valley before he entered an in-patient mental health treatment facility at the end of last month?

On the heels of reports claiming Scheana Shay, 39, and Lala Kent, 33, have been filming for the Vanderpump Rules spinoff’s second season, a rumor has suggested that Jax, 45, is “basically fired” amid his mental health struggles, which he went public with just months after his separation from Brittany Cartwright, 35.

“Jax is basically fired as it stands. They will reassess after his treatment and depending on where he ends up with [Brittany]. I.E. If she doesn’t want him back, he won’t be back,” the Reddit rumor, reshared by The Bravo Objective on Instagram, stated.

“Scheana has more or less been filming full-time recently, Lala more of a friend situation. Maybe because of the baby. I am not sure,” it continued.

Meanwhile, in the caption of the Reddit post, a user said that Jax’s potential firing “kind of tracks” with rumors suggesting Bravo had forced him to seek help or be fired.

Following the sharing of the rumor, a production insider has spoken out about the claims made regarding Jax’s status with The Valley. They denied that he had been axed from the show.

“Jax absolutely was not fired from The Valley,” an insider close to production revealed to OK! Magazine on August 18.

The source also said that while Scheana and Lala have been filming while Jax is away at treatment, they have not replaced him on the show nor do their roles have anything “to do with Jax.”

“Their fit into this group is a seamless one as they’ve known these people and been friends with them for years,” the insider continued. “Let’s not forget Jax and Brittany Cartwright came from Vanderpump Rules.”

As for when Jax could return to filming, the insider said that it is not yet clear when he will check out of treatment.

“He will be back on the show when he returns and is healthy,” they shared.

As Pump Rules fans will recall, Jax’s rep confirmed he was seeking treatment for mental health concerns in late July with a statement to TMZ.

“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” his rep shared. “He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment.”
