New Orleans, LA — Just when defenses think they’ve figured him out, Taysom Hill changes the script—again.
Heading into the 2025 season, Hill remains one of the NFL’s most unpredictable and dangerous chess pieces. Officially listed as a tight end, Hill continues to blur the lines between quarterback, receiver, fullback, and even special teams gunner. And according to inside reports from Saints camp, the team has no intention of scaling back his usage. In fact, quite the opposite.
“He’s not slowing down,” one Saints coach said. “We’re dialing him up more than ever.”
Now 35, Hill is entering what some would call the twilight of his career—but don’t tell him that. He looks leaner, sharper, and more explosive in training camp than he has in years. Sources close to the team hint at new packages designed specifically to take advantage of mismatches when Hill lines up behind center—or anywhere else on the field.
Whether it’s a third-and-short, red zone misdirection, or a surprise deep shot, Hill continues to be a walking nightmare for defensive coordinators.
“Every time I touch the ball, I want to keep defenses guessing,” Hill said after practice.
“As long as I’m on the field, I’ll find a way to make an impact. That’s who I am.”
With a new-look Saints offense under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Taysom Hill may once again be the X-factor nobody sees coming—until it’s too late.
