What's Jameis' Emotional Message To Cleveland?

New York Giants backup quarterback Jameis Winston wrote a letter to the fans of the Cleveland Browns to say goodbye and to thank them for their vocal passion and energy they showed him last season at Huntington Bank Field.

What's Jameis' Emotional Message To Cleveland?

He happened to mention one of the games and moments he said he will never forget as long as he lives. It was one of the bigger moments for the modern-era Cleveland Browns.

"Beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football in what turned out to be the most iconic snow game in NFL history. The energy, the emotion, the unity - we all felt it. That night was Cleveland at its finest."

Winston then went on to thank everyone in the city that made him feel so welcome.

"To the amazing men and women who make this city special; thank you," Winston said. "You've made a lasting impact on our lives, helping us rise to a greater calling - one rooted in unity, service, and love. Wishing you continued blessings, prosperity, and nothing but the best."

Winston had a "fun" season in Cleveland, although it ended with him hurting his shoulder in week 15 which terminated his season. He took over for starter Deshaun Watson in Week 7 when Watson ruptured his Achilles. During his time as a starter he won over the "Dawg Pound" and found his way into their souls.

The former Florida State University signal-caller moved on in free agency as the Browns made no effort to give him a new contract. He signed a two-year deal with the New York Giants in March and is scheduled to backup Russell Wilson for Big Blue.
