At one point, this was supposed to be the week of the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson boxing megafight that was going to be one of the most anticipated boxing events in years.
Instead, Tyson had some health problems, as 57-year-olds do, so that fight was pushed back to November, and Paul is now fighting Mike Perry Saturday, July 6, in Tampa.
Was Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson canceled?
No, it's still on, but it will be Nov. 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), Paul's promotional outfit, announced the postponement in May after Tyson had an ulcer flare-up on a plane flight. He was ultimately OK but backed off his training for long enough to need a delay.
When is Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson?
The fight is now set for Nov. 15 at Arlington's AT&T Stadium. That date is a Friday, which will allow the Cowboys to turn around the stadium in time for their Monday night game against the Houston Texans.
It will still be carried on Netflix and will be free to subscribers.
Is Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano still on the card with Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul?
Yes, they will have a rematch of their fight in 2022, which ended with Taylor winning a split decision at Madison Square Garden. Taylor (23-1) vs. Serrano (46-2-1) is for the undisputed junior welterweight championship.
Serrano will fight Stevie Morgan this week as part of the Paul-Perry card.
Who is Jake Paul fighting this week?
Paul vs Perry will occur on Saturday, July 20, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The main card will begin at 7 p.m. Mountain time. Paul vs. Perry will stream live on DAZN pay-per-view.
