Pedro Pascal and Sister Lux Have a 17-Year Age Difference
Lux was born on June 4, 1992, in Orange County, California, and is the youngest of Pedro's three siblings. The Mandalorian star also has an older sister, Javiera, and a younger brother, Nicolás. Their parents moved back to their native Chile when Lux was 3 years old and she was raised in the South American country, along with Nicolás.
“She ruled the household right away. When my older sister and I would visit we were like intruders,” Pedro told Esquire in 2023 about Lux. “Our mother was her mother but for us to think that we were entitled to this woman’s attention in any way was absurd.”

Lux announced her transition in a February 2021 interview with Ya magazine. She shared how supportive her family was of her decision.
“For everyone in my family my transition has been very natural. Almost something they hoped would happen,” Lux told the publication. She also said she has no issues with looking at pictures of herself before she came out as transgender.
"It doesn't make me anxious to see old photos of myself,” she explained. “The same thing happens to me with theater: I see someone who was doing what they liked."
Lux Pascal Is an Actress
Lux began acting in Chile as a teen prior to her transition. She starred in Canal 13's TV series Los 80 in 2014, shortly after making her theater debut. The following year, Lux appeared as the character Diego in the TVN soap opera Juana Brava. In 2016, Lux starred as Valentin in the Chilean TV series 20añero a los 40.
In 2017, Lux appeared in two episodes of Pedro's Netflix series Narcos in season 3, playing the character of Elias. It was her first international TV role.
Lux Pascal Studied Acting at Juilliard
She graduated from New York's prestigious Juilliard School in May 2023 with an MFA in acting. Pedro was there to support Lux at her graduation ceremony, as were their fellow siblings Javiera and Nicolás.

Pedro Pascal Is Fiercely Protective of His Sister Lux
The Last of Us star shared a series of photos of Lux following her transition in a June 2021 birthday tribute to his younger sibling. "I would do anything to spend this day with my sister @luxpascal, but since I can’t I will just show her off. Feliz cumple, hermanita mía," he wrote in the caption.
When asked about the atmosphere for transgender individuals, Pedro told Esquire, “I wouldn’t want to speak on her behalf. But she is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I’ve ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me.”
