Your favorite TV shows may look a bit different when they return, thanks to new names on the call sheets and some conspicuous absences.
For instance, Fire Country, Chicago Fire, Emily in Paris and Wednesday all will be missing familiar faces when they return from their hiatuses, whereas For All Mankind, House of the Dragon, Euphoria and others have welcomed new members to their respective ensembles.
We also now have a good idea of who will populate the new seasons of adaptations and anthologies such as Reacher, The Night Agent, BEEF and Presumed Innocent.

Ahsoka Season 2 (Disney+)
Scottish Game of Thrones alum Rory McCann will play Baylan Skoll, filling the role originated by the late Irish actor Ray Stevenson, who died in May 2023. ◼ Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker.
The Artful Dodger Season 2 (Disney+/Hulu)
Aussies Luke Bracey (Little Fires Everywhere), Jeremy Sims (Mr Inbetween) and Zac Burgess (Cruel Intentions the series) will play Inspector Henry Boxer, the new authority in town with eyes for a Lady; Uncle Dickie, the Governor’s charming and disreputable older brother; and Dickie’s handsome aide Phineas Golden.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 (Netflix)

Now an anthology, the next ensemble is led by Oscar Isaac (Scenes From a Marriage), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus). Song Kang-Ho (Parasite), Yuh-Jung Youn (Pachinko), William Fichtner (Mom), Seoyeon Jang (Good Partner), Mikaela Hoover (The Suicide Squad) and musician BM also star.
BMF Season 4 (Starz)
Michael Chiklis (The Shield) will play DEA Agent Taylor, a no-nonsense cop.
The Boys Season 5 (Prime Video)
Both Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will join former Supernatural castmate Jensen Ackles (back as Soldier Boy) in undisclosed roles. Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer) also will fill a mystery role.
Chicago Fire Season 14 (NBC)

Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones, whom she played in the eponymous Netflix series. ◼ Lili Taylor (Outer Range) will play the governor of New York, and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls) will fill an undisclosed role.
Dark Matter Season 2 (Apple TV+)
Amanda Brugel was promoted to series regular, as Blair Caplan. ◼ Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley) will fill an undisclosed recurring role.
Dark Winds Season 4 (AMC)
Titus Welliver (Bosch) will appear in multiple episodes as Dominic McNair, a ruthless crime boss who imports/exports drugs and stolen luxury goods into and out of Los Angeles. ◼ Isabel Deroy-Olson (Three Pines) and Luke Barnett will respectively play a Navajo teen anxious to connect with people outside of her boarding school, and an FBI agent.
The Diplomat Season 3 (Netflix)
Bradley Whitford will play Todd Penn, the First Gentleman to West Wing co-star Allison Janney’s newly appointed U.S. President Grace Penn.
Doc Season 2 (Fox)
Emmy winner Felicity Huffman will play Dr. Joan Ridley, Amy’s med school professor and an early mentor in her career — and now the new chief of internal medicine at Westside. ◼ Patrick Walker (as Dr. Theodore “T.J.” Coleman) and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim (Katie Hamda) have been upped to series regulars.
Elsbeth Season 3 (CBS)
Carra Patterson, who since the series pilot has played NYPD Officer Kaya Blanke, has stepped down as a series regular — but will continue to appear on a guest star basis. (READ MORE)
Emily in Paris Season 5 (Netflix)
Camille Razat, who plays Emily’s friend/Gabriel’s ex-girlfriend Cami, will not return as a series regular. (READ MORE) ◼ Lucien Laviscount, who plays Alfie, has returned to series regular status after being downgraded to recurring last season. ◼ Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill) will recur as Jake, an American living in Paris; French actress Michèle Laroque (Better Days) will recur as Yvette, an old friend of Sylvie’s; and Minnie Driver (The Serpent Queen) will play Princess Jane, a friend of Sylvie’s who married into a royal family.
Euphoria Season 3 (HBO)
Filling undisclosed roles are Oscar-nominated actress Sharon Stone, Kadeem Hardison (A Different World), Spanish pop star Rosalía, former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, Anna Van Patten (Gossip Girl), Darrell Britt-Gibson (Barry), James Landry Hébert (1883), Priscilla Delgado (A League of Their Own), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (His Dark Materials) and Toby Wallace (The Society). ◼ Martha Kelly (as Laurie) and Chloe Cherry (Faye) have been upped to series regulars. ◼ Not returning are Barbie Ferreira (who played Kat) and Storm Reid (Gia), as well as Angus Cloud (Fez), who died of a drug overdose in 2023.
