Why Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is avoiding future TD celebrations with Odell Beckham Jr.

The Miami Dolphins shouldn't worry about star wide receiver Tyreek Hill partaking in more WWE-style touchdown celebrations.

Why Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is avoiding future TD celebrations with Odell Beckham Jr.

In a 23-15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on "Monday Night Football," Hill scored his first TD since Week 1 on a one-yard pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the third quarter.

During the TD celebration, he and fellow wideout Odell Beckham Jr. appeared to imitate pro wrestlers. At the end of the routine, they clobbered each other on a double clothesline.

On Tuesday, Hill joked in a post on his X account that he "never will plan a celebration with Odell again."

"It felt good until Odell slammed my back out, man, you know," Hill said in his postgame interview with NFL Media's Taylor Bisciotti. "That kind of hurt me, so I'll probably miss Wednesday practice with that one. But it always good to score in the NFL, it's always been my dream to play at the biggest level, and here I am scoring on Monday night. So very grateful, very thankful for this opportunity."

Hill probably learned his lesson, which is good for the Dolphins. They need the star WR to stay healthy and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Miami (3-6) is 10th in the AFC but has a favorable schedule for the rest of the season. According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Dolphins have the league's 10th-easiest remaining schedule.

Hill's numbers have nosedived this season due to Tagovailoa missing four games with a concussion. He has 37 receptions for 462 yards and two TD catches through nine games. He's on pace to finish with 872 yards receiving, the third-lowest mark of his career.

With Tagovailoa back in the lineup, Hill should start scoring more TDs. If he does, he'll probably have more celebrations in store. However, expect him to keep his distance from Beckham.
