Pedro Pascal's internet "Daddy" title doesn't sit well with everyone, especially his "The Last of Us" co-star, Bella Ramsey.
Although the "Game of Thrones" actor has boldly embraced being everyone's heartthrob, his younger co-star revealed that the attention makes them feel protective of Pascal.
Pedro Pascal's Co-Star Felt 'Worried'
Ramsey touched on their on-screen father figure's viral internet fame in a new interview. They admitted that they instantly disliked Pascal being hailed as a "Zaddy" because of his looks.
"I felt worried for him. I want to protect him from that whole joke of becoming the internet's daddy," the 21-year-old explained to Vanity Fair. "I was like, 'I don't want everyone to refer to you as that and see you as that. You're so much more."
Despite the 29-year age gap between Ramsey and Pascal, the pair shares an undeniable bond that transcends what fans see on screen.
The 50-year-old actor once publicly praised Ramsey for making "The Last Of Us" easier to film, admitting that they were both scared of working with someone with a significant age difference. However, their shared vulnerability made the experience all the better.
The 'Narcos' Star Says He Earned The 'Daddy' Title
Although Ramsey isn't a fan, Pascal doesn't mind all the love from thirsty fans. During a May 2023 Hollywood Reporter roundtable, the Chilean native admitted he is having "fun" with the title.
While chatting with A-list stars like Jeff Bridges and Kieran Culkin, Pascal said he believes fans call him "Daddy" mainly because of the kind of roles he takes. In his words:
"(The daddy thing) seems a little role-related, I think. There was a period where the Mandalorian is very daddy to baby Grogu. Joel is very daddy to Ellie. These are daddy parts. That's what it is."
Nevertheless, the "Gladiator II" star still considers himself a sex symbol. During a 2022 appearance on the Vanity Fair Lie Detector series, Pascal confessed that he sees himself as a "heartthrob."
When asked about his famous title, he answered, "Daddy is a state of mind. I'm your daddy."

True to his fatherly title, the Hollywood star is known for being protective of the LGBTQ+ community, especially transgender persons.
Back in April, he made headlines for publicly calling out author J.K. Rowling for applauding the U.K. Supreme Court ruling that trans women are not legally women.
After the "Harry Potter" writer posted a photo of herself on a yacht, raising a glass and smoking a cigar in celebration of the ruling, Pascal commented, "heinous LOSER behavior."
In addition, he liked a video urging fans to boycott anything associated with Rowling's hit book and movie series, "Harry Potter."
Pascal's passionate allyship towards the trans community comes from a personal place. In 2021, his younger sister Lux came out as trans, and the actor has been nothing but supportive.
Pascal Is A Vocal Advocate For The Trans Community
When "The Mandalorian" star isn't calling out transphobia, he often uses his platform to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. However, that opens him up to backlash.
Such was the case in February when Pascal got on the heated side of the internet after posting a message of support on Instagram. "A WORLD WITHOUT TRANS PEOPLE HAS NEVER EXISTED AND NEVER WILL," the sign read.
Many fans applauded the actor's actions, but some seemed displeased and expressed their anger. To their surprise, Pascal clapped back with sharp responses.
To a fan who wrote, "You were my favorite actor… I'm unfollowing you…. Bullsh-t," the Golden Globe nominee replied, "nooooooooooo [manicure emoji]."
Another comment that read, "Man, you were one of my favorite actors until this… [disappointed face emoji]," received the response, "That's too bad. Wait, no, I don't give a sh-t."
Will Pedro Pascal Play Pope Leo XIV?
With impressive credits like "The Last of Us," "The Mandalorian," and "Game of Thrones" to his name, Pascal, who broke out at 39, has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after stars.
It is no wonder fans voted him as most likely to play Pope Leo XIV on screen. As The Blast reported, Pascal leads the poll with odds of 2/1 (+200) and a 33.3% implied probability of landing the role.
"Casting the next pope isn't just about religious authority. It's become a dramatic and symbolic choice," a spokesperson for The Action Network explained of the bets. "These odds weigh everything from industry buzz to acting range to who can wear the mitre with cinematic swagger."
