Will Cowboys’ Mike McCarthy Empty His Bag Of Tricks?

The Dallas Cowboys' regular season finale is here, and with the Washington Commanders coming to AT&T Stadium, Mike McCarthy might have some fun in what could be his final game as head coach of America's Team.

With nothing to lose for the Cowboys and Trey Lance expected to see significant snaps, there is a thought that McCarthy might let the offense loose.

Granted, there is nothing to be gained by dinking and dunking, as we have seen with Cooper Rush at times this season, especially when there's nothing on the line playoff-wise.

The Cowboys have the weapons to stretch the field with KaVontae Turpin, who was critical of McCarthy's play-calling against the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Brooks has gotten downfield this season, and then there's Brandin Cooks.

So there is every chance for McCarthy to get exotic with his play-calling and maybe bring some juice to this end-of-season funeral at AT&T Stadium.

Take some shots downfield, and get creative with the weapons at your disposal.

After all, there's nothing to lose.

Turpin is a dynamic player as a runner and receiver, so why not have a "Turpin package" to unleash the speed merchant?

Lance has dynamic running skills, and one could argue he is a better football thrower than Rush, so utilize those skill sets and get creative.

Rico Dowdle getting established will help with that, and having surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in the blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, he will be in a confident mood, so play into that.

It is the final game of the season; there is nothing to play for, so why not try and go out with a bang? Why not have the play-caller empty his bag of tricks?

After all, there's nothing to lose.
