Reports as recently as February suggested that the Los Angeles Dodgers could be interested in trading for Nolan Arenado.

Trading for the future Hall of Famer would be an interesting decision from the Dodgers' perspective, as they're already loaded from top to bottom on both sides of the baseball.

However, it's tough to ignore when somebody like Arenado becomes available.

If he could be had for the right price, and the St Louis Cardinals would be willing to pay down some of his contract, how would the Dodgers say no?

The Dodgers wouldn't ever do that.

However, the Dodgers haven't gotten a deal done yet. If that interest is real, they likely would've figured something out by now.

A few other teams could use him, including the New York Yankees, who could now be without Giancarlo Stanton.

Stanton is dealing with an elbow injury and has left camp.

Jon Morosi of MLB Network believes that trading for Arenado could now be a possibility for the Yankees after this injury.

"Does it mean that the longer this goes on, is there all of a sudden a Nolan Arenado trade possibility that could still percolate? We'll see," Morosi said.

Unless the Dodgers are still interested in trading for the 33-year-old, it's unlikely to impact them much.

However, if that interest is still there, they'll need to get a deal done soon if the Yankees view him as a possible Stanton replacement.
