Yolanda Hadid gives insight into her relationship with Gigi Hadid
Yolanda took to Instagram on April 23, where she reflected on the past 30 years with Gigi, and wrote the sweetest comments to her in tribute of her birthday. "As you know, giving birth to your first born is life changing, it really marks the first day for the rest of your life as you transition from womanhood into the blessing of motherhood," she wrote. "Today is your special day and I want to say thank you for choosing me to be your mommy and for all the love, light, and reflection you have brought into my life."
"When I look at pictures of our journey I feel so much gratitude for the incredible memories we have created together...You just crack me up with the biggest smile because no matter what I threw at you, you would go for it without hesitation. Whether it was skiing, horseback riding, surfing, skating, parasailing. It was never too big, too high, or too fast. You were magically fearless...and that extraordinary courage and determination shines through in everything you do in life. I love you, I treasure you, and I'm so proud of the woman that you are, my biggest joy is watching you do motherhood. Your love and passion for Khai fills my heart with so much pride. Thank you for sharing this most precious gift of life with me."
Inside Yolanda Hadid's bond with granddaughter Khai
Yolanda is also a very proud "oma" to Khai. During a September tour of her Texas home with Architectural Digest, Yolanda showed off the special section of her house just for her only granddaughter.
The model took the publication into her walk-in pantry, where she showed off the shelves lined with clear jars filled with dry goods. But the most special part of the pantry are the clear jars filled with candy, including gummy bears and M&Ms. "Obviously, this is inspired by my granddaughter Khai when she comes, because she loves candy," Yolanda said. "So I said, 'Oma will make one little section for you.'"
Khai spends plenty of time at Yolanda's house. Gigi took to Instagram this month, where she posted a series of photos from her life lately with her adorable daughter. In the photos, Gigi can be seen hanging out on Yolanda's Pennsylvania farm, painting pictures, creating a breakfast menu for Khai, and celebrating her last day of school.

When Yolanda celebrated her birthday in January, Bella took to Instagram where she wished her a happy birthday and called her "the queen of my world."
"With all that goes on, you are my peace. I love you mommy," she wrote.
"Thank you for being you and all that you are," she added. "A guiding light, a loving heart, and a generous soul. I feel so blessed God chose me to be your baby."
Bella also has aspirations of becoming a mom. In a May interview with British Vogue, Yolanda's middle child opened up about her dreams of having children with her boyfriend, Adan Banuelos. "Family is on my mind," she told the publication. "I can't wait to be a mom."
"I think that I'm somebody for a lot of people, but in the real intimate way of being a person that somebody can count on consistently, that will change my life for me. And I cannot wait," she added. "I never grew up being like, 'Oh, I have this vision of marriage. I have this vision of being a mother.' But it's got to a point where I'm like, 'You know what? That's something for me.' I think that would make me truly happy."
She also opened up about the bond that she shares with her niece. "Khai is the best thing since sliced bread," she said. "I want to be the best auntie to her. My sister is a superhero."
