Yolanda Hadid's longtime journey with Lyme Disease is something that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been open about for years. The mom of three and model has not shied away when it comes to talking about her health struggles and how she has been working to navigate the symptoms of the disease.

Yolanda took to Instagram last week, where she revealed that she traveled to Malaysia to visit Dr. Mike Chan — a scientist, researcher, and educator who has penned over 50 books about stem cells, aging, neurodegenerative and neurodevelopment disorders, biological and regenerative medicine, and metabolic diseases (according to his official bio). Dr. Chan has also been helping Yolanda with her health journey.

"He believes I can heal the last 25 percent of my 15-year long battle with the invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease," she wrote in the caption of the post.

Yolanda continued, giving a look inside of the treatment that Dr. Chan has done with Yolanda.

"The treatment I did six months ago has really benefitted me in the sense that it has given me the stamina to work out again and a slight incline in my brain function, something I haven't felt in a really long time," Yolanda continued.

In the photos posted to Yolanda's Instagram, she can be seen posing with Dr. Chan, touring his laboratory, and smiling alongside him in different locations. "Thank you Dr. Chan for being my treasure of Hope," Yolanda concluded. "Thank you for sharing your profound wisdom and for all the extraordinary work & education you do around the world."

In September 2022, Yolanda revealed that she loves to "make delicious salads and steamed vegetables" to help with the symptoms of her Lyme Disease. "I have learned that my Lyme symptoms are at a minimum when I am on my 28 day cleanse," Yolanda wrote in the caption of her post. "So this is not a diet, it's a lifestyle that I grew into after years of suffering from disease."

"This is the food God intended us to eat and your body will teach and show you how the symptoms just melt away when given the right healing foods," she added.
