The former model confirmed the big news on Sunday, May 19, roughly eight years after exiting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills franchise. Yolanda teased the gig in a series of Instagram Stories documenting her flight from the United States to the Netherlands, where she will reprise her judging role on Holland’s Next Top Model.

Yolanda Hadid is no stranger to model competition series

Yolanda, who was born and raised in the Netherlands, joined the model competition series in 2022 for Cycle 13. It was a fitting gig for the Dutch-born businesswoman, as she entered the fashion industry at age 16, and is now the mother of three models: daughters Gigi and Bella Hadid and son Anwar Hadid, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid.

About four years before joining HNTM, the former ’Wife hosted another reality competition series, dubbed Making a Model with Yolanda Hadid. The show focused on a group of aspiring young models who spent two months living under the same roof with their moms. Yolanda spoke about the show in a 2018 interview with BUILD, explaining why she was so drawn to the concept.

“It just resonated with me,” she said about Making a Model. “I’ve been really struggling with the fact that the new generation is becoming so disconnected with family, from their moms — everybody is so busy on their phones and life is out there, yet we forget to be intimate with those closest to us. So I just thought it’d be great to bring the [contestants’] moms and just be two months without a phone.”
