When you're on or near the top of your mountain, people want to knock you off. It's true in life and it's true in the NFL. The Cincinnati Bengals have been near the top of the AFC for several years now, and it's inevitable that someone will troll them.
It's happened.
And another thing has happened, too. Logan Paul might have found something he's actually good at. On Monday, Paul kicked off WWE Monday Night Raw by taking a potshot at the Bengals.
Making fun of sports teams seems like low-hanging fruit, but Paul has perfected the art - especially as a native of rival Cleveland.
"You guys waste talent," Paul told the Cincinnati crowd. "Just look at what you did to Joe Burrow."
Burrow has led the Bengals to a Super Bowl, as commentator Pa McAfee was quick to point out. But the team had an abysmal season in 2024 behind MVP-like numbers from Burrow.
The Bengals missed the postseason with a 9-8 record and ranked near the bottom of the league in most statistical categories on both offense and defense.
"We've got to play better early on," Burrow said earlier this month. "Whatever it takes to do that, whether it's preseason reps, joint practices, guys taking the offseason more seriously. I don't know what it is, but we'll have those discussions to try to get that fixed."
While Logan Paul is still trying to find his way in the world, he's right about one thing. The Bengals are squandering Burrow's career.
