Former NY Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is hoping for a fresh start with his new team, the Denver Broncos, this season. The hope is that a change of scenery will do wonders for the former No. 2 overall pick.
To help usher in this new era of his career, Wilson debuted a new look on Tuesday with the release of his official photos from Broncos media day. New team, new look for the ex-Jets draft pick.
Gone is the iconic headband that Wilson donned while at BYU and during his time with the Jets. In its place is a new slicked-back hairdo that some have pointed out looks strikingly similar to Christian Bale in American Psycho.
As one might expect, both Jets fans and general NFL fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Wilson's new look. Comments ranged from silly to downright disrespectful. Fans had some fun with it.
I would describe this new Zach Wilson look as, "Just sprayed by garden hose." https://t.co/Bm1NCfLhnW

Zach Wilson is looking 'fresh' for his fresh start away from the NY Jets
Wilson was traded by the Jets to the Broncos in April for a swap of late Day 3 picks. The Jets finally put an end to Wilson's disastrous three-year stint with the organization, bringing in veteran Tyrod Taylor to serve as Aaron Rodgers' backup in 2024.
As for Wilson, he's currently taking part in a three-way competition for the Broncos' starting quarterback job, although reports suggest he's already well behind rookie Bo Nix and veteran journeyman Jarrett Stidham.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton has taken Wilson under his wing as his latest quarterback reclamation project. Unfortunately, it's going to take a lot to turn Wilson into a viable NFL QB.
The former BYU star's time with the Jets was as bad as any quarterback in recent memory. We're talking about someone who statistically ranks as one of the worst quarterbacks in modern NFL history.
Denver is an excellent spot for Wilson to try and carve out a role and salvage his career, and while he reportedly struggled in spring practices, he can still do just that with a summer of practices ahead.
Zach Wilson is looking forward to a fresh start with his new team in 2024. Now, he has a fresh new look to go along with it.
