3 hardest games on the Bengals schedule, plus 1 game that’s a guaranteed win

At a glance, Cincinnati’s 2025 schedule looks difficult with opponents ranging from those in the AFC North to the likes of the Detroit Lions, and unfortunately one wouldn’t be wrong. That is, of course, the last thing Cincinnati needs after last season’s heartbreaking end. While there are some easier opponents sprinkled in the schedule, Cincinnati will have their work cut out for them this fall.

Buffalo Bills v Cincinnati Bengals

While each game is its own, fresh matchup, here’s three of the hardest games on the schedule, plus one game that’s a guaranteed win.

Detroit Lions – Week 5

Over the years, the Lions have turned into a really solid team and a tough opponent for anyone who faces them. This team has put together a really solid offense and defense; Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, Aidan Hutchinson, and D. J. Reader are just a few solid players on this team. Quarterback Jared Goff finished out 2024 with 4,629 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. Luckily this game is at Paycor, as the Bengals will need all the support they can get against this well-built team.

Win Probability: 40%

Baltimore Ravens – Weeks 13 & 15

This matchup is always difficult year after year. The AFC North teams and quarterbacks will surely look different next season, but still Lamar Jackson remains the toughest opponent. Not to mention, one game is on Thanksgiving and in Baltimore. Jackson had 4,172 passing yards and 41 touchdowns last year, compared to Burrow’s 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdowns. While this is a pretty even matchup quarterback-wise, all of the pieces of the team will have to be operating at their best to walk away with a win in these matchups.

Win Probability: 59%

Buffalo Bills – Week 14

Like it or not, this team is on the rise as well, and with Josh Allen sticking around for the next six years, they will continue to grow. Allen had 3,731 passing yards and 28 touchdowns in 2024 and was awarded MVP, so this will be a tough offense to defend. The Bengals defense will be different in the fall, and with so many unknowns right now, they have to get it together before they head to Buffalo to even have a chance.

Win Probability: 50%

Good News: Jacksonville Jaguars – Week 2

On a lighter note, there are some easier opponents on the schedule this season. Trevor Lawrence had 2,045 passing yards and 11 touchdowns last year and a season record of 4-13. Hopefully this will be an easier game for Cincinnati, who have a tough schedule as it is. With the Browns and the Steelers set to look different next season, hopefully a meeting with Lawrence and the Jaguars won’t be too hard. While each season is its own, it’s safe to say that this matchup will end in a win.

Win Probability: 90%
