49ers Praise Jets’ Breece Hall Before Matchup

Heading into their primetime matchup on Monday Night Football, New York Jets running back Breece Hall is being shown plenty of respect from the San Francisco 49ers.

What the 49ers Are Saying About the Jets

Fellow running back and 2023 Offensive Player of Year Christian McCaffrey was the first player to praise Hall leading up to the game.

"I have a lot of respect for Breece," said McCaffrey. "I think he's a heck of a back. He's big, fast, strong, can make any cut. He sees it well. He can make big plays when they're not there. I have tremendous respect for him."

Another player to give Hall a shoutout was All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner.

"Huge test. I think he's one of the best backs in the league just from watching him," said Warner. "I haven't played him yet, but he's so dynamic. The ability to hit the home run with his speed, his cuts in and out of the box, I think is one of the top in the league. He's going to be a huge test for us. We have to swarm him, it's not going to be a one-guy show.

Clearly, Hall is going to command a lot of attention from the 49ers defense on Monday as he looks to become one of the league's top running backs in 2024.

In his sophomore season in 2023, Hall totaled 1585 scrimmage yards, becoming the focal point of the Jets offense as they struggled to find a starting quarterback.
