Tight end Tyler Conklin is embarking on his third season with the New York Jets, and he feels like his best is yet to come.

After being a beacon of consistency for the Jets with what could be called below-par quarterback play over the last two seasons, Conklin now gets future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers (we hope) in 2024.

With Conklin now a veteran of the NFL, he still feels like there's more to come from him as he looks to have a breakout campaign.

"A lot of elements of my game that I can build on right now," Conklin said. "We start with the run game, having this cohesive unit [offensive line] is really going to allow me to take a big step in the run game. Then as a pass-catcher, being with someone like Aaron [Rodgers] as camp's gone on, even with camp with him last year, just having such a better understanding of him, knowing when I have freedom to run a route like this or when I gotta be in this spot as this time, there's a lot left on the bone for me to go and show what I can do on a football field."

With Conklin being one of the most consistent parts of the Jets' offense since he arrived in 2022, Tyler now feels like, with Rodgers, he's set to see his game go up a level.

Having finished second in yards to Garrett Wilson last season and third in receptions, Conklin has every right to feel like more is to come from him with Rodgers at the offensive wheel.

The Jets have a different feel to them this year, and while the franchise is banking on the health of several veterans to push them toward the postseason, the improvement that players like Conklin could have simply by having Rodgers under center can't be underestimated.

And when the season begins, we'll find out exactly how much is left on the bone for Conklin in 2024.
