Alvin Kamara Hints That It May Be His Last Season With Saints

The New Orleans Saints have their work cut out for them ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

For starters, the bulk of analysts and fans have low expectations for this team, with many people predicting a record below .500.

Alvin Kamara's Response To Derek Carr Question Is Telling - The Spun

Derek Carr didn’t provide much inspiration last season, and the Saints don’t have many superstars on their roster.

Alvin Kamara has proven to be one of the best backs in the league when healthy, and he could provide a spark to this offense.

Judging by his latest comments, this could be Kamara’s last dance in New Orleans, potentially giving this team only one more year with elite running back production.

As he said via Josina Anderson on X, “It’s too late for contract talks… I’m kinda at the point to where I’m like, I’m not talking about it until after the season.”

It appears that Kamara isn’t entertaining extension talks moving forward, at least until the offseason.

If the Saints don’t make a playoff push, he could leave this team, hoping to find a role on another roster in the 2025 season and beyond.

Kamara, of course, is still facing some pending legal troubles, so his future in the league is unknown.

At this point, he is in a holding pattern until further notice.

It will be interesting to see his motivation level in the 2024 season, and if Kamara will still play like a superstar back.

If he doesn’t, it could be a very long year for Saints fans.
