Dorit Kemsley was asked about her alleged attempt to maintain her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with her over-the-top antics with her castmates during part one of the season 14 reunion special on Tuesday night.

Andy Cohen Confronts Dorit Kemsley in Unaired RHOBH Reunion Clip, Questions If She 'Came in Hot' to Save Job on Show as Kyle Richards Suggests It "[Felt] Like That" and Comments on the New Dorit

In an unaired scene from the episode, the “new” Dorit, 48, became a hot topic as Andy Cohen, 56, questioned her about whether she was trying to save her job, Kyle Richards, 56, admitted to suspecting that was the case, and Dorit defended herself against the suggestion.

“TVIsMyGod on Twitter said, ‘Why does this season feel like it was an attempt to keep Dorit’s job?’” host Andy shared in Peacock’s extended and uncensored version of the episode, via Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “Kyle, do you think Dorit was coming in hot to stay on the show?”

“I think in the beginning, and with me, it did feel like that,” Kyle agreed. “It was a Dorit that I did not know. Even arguing, and I realize that you were going through things, it did feel like that to me.”

Meanwhile, Dorit noted that if her job had truly been in jeopardy, Kyle would’ve been well aware.

“You have relationships with people on the show,” she responded. “You know, executives and so on, so you know whether or not my job was on the line. So, how could you get to that conclusion knowing that I was asked back and it wasn’t about me trying to keep my job?”

“That’s what I said. I stand by that,” Kyle argued.

As RHOBH fans will recall, Dorit claimed she nearly quit the show while appearing on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast last year.

“I had a lot going on in my life and my marriage,” Dorit explained on a November 2024 episode. “I thought to myself, ‘If I’m gonna do the show, obviously, it’s talking about everything, putting everything out there.’ [Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley] and I were at the very start of thinking about separating or just had separated, so we didn’t know what was going on. And, when you have that unknown, and you know you’re living it, and it’s all gonna play out, really, for millions to watch, you have some hesitation.”

Ultimately, as Dorit shared, Lisa Rinna, 61, encouraged her to return — and to give it all to the cameras.

“She said to me, ‘Dorit, if you’re going to do it, then do it no-holds-barred, guns a-blazing. You go in, and you do it. Be yourself. Don’t hold back.’ And that stuck with me,” Dorit noted.

Also during the reunion episode, Andy told Dorit, “The viewers loved seeing you smoking in the car.”

“That’s wild. Really wild. I would have never ever, ever guessed that one,” Dorit replied. “I have been a social smoker. And I think that especially the last few years, with what’s been going on… I was just in a place where I didn’t give a f*ck.”

“She turned into a stress smoker,” added Erika Jayne, 53.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 reunion continues with part two next Tuesday, April 8, at 8/7c on Bravo.
