Being drafted by the 49ers is a dream come true for Marques Sigle

"This is my dad's favorite team," Sigle revealed.

While Sigle doesn't know exactly how his father became a 49ers fan, he plans to dive deeper into that story soon.

When asked about what he brings to the team and his best on-field attributes, Sigle highlighted his adaptability.

"My versatility," Sigle said. "I can play multiple positions. I can play free safety, strong safety, nickel, and dime. So, just my versatility."

Regarding his fit in San Francisco's defense, Sigle expressed a willingness to contribute wherever he's needed.

"Anything they put me at, I'm gonna be there," he said.

Interestingly, Sigle also shared that his favorite player to use in the video game Madden is 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Now, the two are teammates, and the rookie is eager to learn from one of the best in the game.

"I know he's gonna get the ball out," Sigle said. "He's so physical and that's [the way] I like to play—physical and disciplined. ... Just the type of leader he is, how he plays. He's always ahead of the offense, and that's where I'm trying to get.

"I want to be ahead of the offense. I know my defense. I know where everybody's supposed to be. I just want to predict what's coming at me, so I can be just like him."
