While the Chiefs finally won a game by multiple scores and at 13-1 have the best record in the NFL, there's concern over quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs star exited the game in the fourth quarter after he appeared to suffer a high-ankle sprain and did not return.

"This stuff kind of happens in football. I tried to bounce back up but obviously, it hurt a little bit," Mahomes told reporters after the game. "Now, we'll just get after the rehab part of it and try to be ready for next week."

While Chiefs Kingdom awaits news of further testing on Mahomes' ankle, the three-time Super Bowl MVP's wife, Brittany Mahomes, sent a message to fans on Instagram.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, sends a message from Huntington Bank Field on Dec. 15, 2024.

"Ear muffs are the move 🙉," Mahomes posted, sharing a few fun photos from the sidelines at Huntington Bank Field.

While Brittany's comments section flooded with well wish and prayers regarding her husband's status, the soon-to-be mother of three didn't seem worried about Mahomes' injury, which is a great sign.

The 29-year-old quarterback told reporters that if it was a tighter game or a "do-or-die situation," that he could've kept playing. "I thought the defense was playing really [well] and I wanted to go back out there. I probably would've fought a little bit harder if they would've gotten the game into one score."

Mahomes also mentioned his trust in backup quarterback Carson Wentz. "He's played football and he's won football games. [They] put him out there, and I thought he did a great job moving the football and running time off the clock and putting us in position to win the football game."

Unfortunately, Mahomes doesn't have a ton of time to rest. Next up, Kansas City hosts the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.

In Week 17, they travel to Acrisure Stadium to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, their third game in a 11-day span. If the Chiefs can win both games, they can seal their status as the No. 1 seed.
