The Cleveland Browns suffered their third-straight loss on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not only did the Browns suffer yet another loss in a failed season, but they also lost All-Pro running back Nick Chub for the remainder of the season with a broken foot.
Chubb rejoined the team in Week 7 this season after fully recovering from multiple knee injuries that he suffered in 2023. Now, Chubb's rehab will begin once again.
Some of Chubb's teammates reacted to the brutal news of his injury, including star pass rusher Myles Garrett.
"It just goes from bad to worse, man. It really does," said Garrett. "The man fights back from injury. He does it. There’s not a more hard working, resilient individual in the locker room. And he just has continued to face adversity like this. It’s just tough to see because he’s one of the cornerstones. He’s every bit a part of the foundation as myself and Denzel (Ward). And it’s just, it’s tough to see him have to go through this."
"It’s just tough, man," said running back Pierre Strong Jr. "I come to work every day to see how hard he works, and he works his (expletive) off. Excuse my language, but he do. That's probably one of the hardest-working dudes I've ever seen. So for him to continuously battle through adversity, man, it's just—when's he going to catch a break, you know what I mean?
Chubb's contract expires in the offseason, and with him turning 29 at the end of the year, there is a real chance that he has played his final snap with the Browns.
