Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel has secured a new endorsement deal, generating significant buzz.
The Browns’ rookie quarterback has signed a deal to be the brand ambassador for the Chrysler Pacifica minivan.
“We’re thrilled that Dillon selected the Pacifica minivan as his personal vehicle,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO. “Dillon could drive pretty much whatever he wants, and we are honored that he chose the segment-leading Pacifica, which offers the safety, comfort and style he needs to travel with his teammates—and the opportunity to create lasting memories along the way. We’re proud to continue to support Dillon’s journey as he begins his NFL career and builds bonds with his fellow teammates.”
Gabriel appreciates the Pacifica for its spacious seating, often using it to give rides to his offensive linemen during his time at Oregon. It was a practical choice, he said.
“I always like to joke around that I’m built for comfort,” Gabriel said in a release. “In addition, given insurance, cost, and being able to have space for other people, I’ve always loved the minivan, so I try to use it to my advantage. I think the cool part is, you know in high school you go on these trips together whether it’s in another state, on the plane, in the hotel, (it’s) things you remember for a lifetime.”
Gabriel was considered a surprise selection by the Browns in the third round, with many projecting the record-setting 24-year-old to be taken later in the draft. His character and skill were never a question, but at 5-foot-11, Gabriel is undersized for an NFL quarterback.
However, Cleveland felt confident in the pick, citing extensive pre-draft research and evaluation.
“We spent a lot of time with Dillon throughout this process,” Browns general manager Andrew Berry said. “We brought him in right after the combine and did the private visit and workouts out in Eugene. Decorated college career, and very accurate and very poised. We just thought he had a really well-rounded game.”
Gabriel began his college career at UCF, where he completed 554 of 913 passes for 8,037 yards and 70 touchdowns over three seasons.
He transferred to Oklahoma in 2022, adding 6,828 yards and 55 touchdowns across two seasons. Gabriel finished his collegiate career at Oregon in 2024, completing 326 of 447 passes for 3,857 yards and 30 touchdowns. His 187 career total touchdowns set a new all-time FBS record.
Gabriel is firmly in the mix for the Browns’ starting quarterback job, competing alongside veteran Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. Cleveland selected Sanders in the fifth round, 50 picks after taking Gabriel, who has drawn praise for his pro-readiness and sharp grasp of the playbook.
Gabriel has earned some first-team reps during OTAs and minicamp and is focused on maintaining his momentum as training camp approaches.
“I’d say two words, just continuous improvement. And in this profession, I think there’s a bunch of progression and regression, but just your ability to manage that as fast as possible, I think that allows you to create improvement at a faster pace,” Gabriel said.” So, I’ve just been approaching it like that and, you know, eager to learn every single day, just approach this like a student.”
The Browns’ rookies will begin training camp on July 18 and will be joined by the veterans a few days later.
