Bucs lose veteran offensive line to Jaguars, Liam Coen

The rivalry between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars is not going to die down anytime soon. We first got the Liam Coen debacle that was his extension with the team before it wasn't and he left for the Jaguars. Then we got the story of him allegedly ghosting Baker Mayfield and the Bucs and yet they say there were no hard feelings while speaking at the combine with Jason Licht.

The latest installment now includes the team signing one of the Bucs free agents, albeit one that people expected to leave during the new league year.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that the Jaguars and offensive lineman Robert Hainsey reached a deal. The deal is for three years and $21 million, with $12 million guaranteed.

Hainsey was a reliable offensive lineman for the Bucs during his time with the team. He had been the team's starting center before they drafted Graham Barton in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he won the job in camp. Hainsey showed versatility by filling in various positions over his career, and now he heads to the Jaguars.

He of course reunites with Liam Coen but he also replaces the recently retired Mitch Morse as the team's franchise starting center for Trevor Lawrence.
