Cameras Catch George Kittle’s Moment With Jake Moody After Missed Field Goal

The San Francisco 49ers went into halftime with a 21-13 lead over the Detroit Lions on "Monday Night Football."

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy threw a pair of touchdowns and rushed for another in a strong start against one of the top teams in the NFL.

However, the lead could've been larger. With time running out in the first half, 49ers kicker Jake Moody missed a 51-yard field goal that would've extended the lead to double digits.

It was another frustrating result for Moody, who entered Monday night with a 23-for-30 mark on field goals this season.

Moody's struggles have been evident. He missed three on November 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a pair against the Buffalo Bills on December 1. As the 49ers trotted into the locker room at halftime, tight end George Kittle was seen speaking to Moody.

While it is not clear what Kittle said to Moody, the star tight end sure looked as if he was trying to lift his teammates' spirits.

It's been a rocky season for Moody, especially after he set a Super Bowl record with a 55-yard field goal last year.

Nonetheless, the 49ers walked into halftime with a touchdown lead against the mighty Lions team.
