Time has passed since former Dallas Cowboys teammates Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence got into a heated back-and-forth on X after Lawrence's free agency signing with the Seattle Seahawks.
Parsons had defended himself and the team after Lawrence's claims that Dallas wouldn't win a Super Bowl and that Parsons may have been a reason for his departure.
Now ... Micah isn't done speaking out about their online spat.
In a conversations with All City DLLS, Parsons called out Lawrence's shot at his commitment.
“I think it’s ridiculous,” Parsons said. “You watch the tape. There’s no question I’m locked in. I’m giving my actual best effort out there on the field, which I think that’s all that matters.
In defense of his social media business - what Lawrence said impacted winning - Parsons was honest by saying it serves as a "release" for his on and off-field thoughts.
However, he reiterated the lack of distraction it brings him.
"I keep the main thing, the main thing. But I like off-field adventures, too," he said.
Whether these "adventures" are any distraction to the rest of the Cowboys locker room is another conversation to be had - just not with DeMarcus Lawrence.
The Cowboys have brought in multiple new faces to the defensive unit, but of course are still waiting out a Parsons contract extension.
Our Mike Fisher has the scoop there: Amid conflicting reports, Fish at CowboysCountry.com says sources have informed him that Parsons has received "contract proposal numbers'' from the Joneses.
It is clear that once Parsons gets his new deal, he will be champing at the bit to get back on the field and prove haters - like Lawrence - wrong this season.
Dallas is coming off a woeful 7-10 year in 2024. They can use all the Micah Parsons motivation they can get on defense.
