With mandatory minicamp getting underway Tuesday for the Dallas Cowboys, injury recoveries and contract negotiations remain at the top of many people's minds.
Speculation has swirled most about defensive stars Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs.
The edge rusher Parsons is expecting a lucrative contract extension before he heads into the final year of his rookie deal, but the progress on an agreement has stalled and made fans restless this offseason.
Diggs is further a pivotal stage in his career with pressure to rehab his second knee surgery and make a return to elite play for the first time since the cornerback signed his high-priced extension.
All eyes will be on their attendance this week at The Star.
But on the eve of minicamp, the two have reconnected for a joint workout to prove their commitment for whoever may be stirring rumors.
Diggs recorded a video for his Instagram story of Parsons running on the treadmill and lifting weights.
According to Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the two Cowboys were present at The Star on Monday. The organization's expectation remains that they will be in attendance on Tuesday as well with the rest of the team.
Micah hinted at a Monday team dinner that he plans to be at during a "private" phone call with Osa Odighizuwa that was posted on TikTok.
This marks Diggs' first time back at the facility in a while after doing much of his rehab in Miami with his personal trainers.
Micah, according to head coach Brian Schottenheimer, has been "in and out" of OTAs, but has not hit the practice field with many of his teammates.
The speculation about their futures won't stop, but the Cowboys' brightest stars are making sure everybody recognizes that they're putting in the work to prepare for next season.
