Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott has spoken out following the news of the death of LSU star wide receiver Kyren Lacy.
On Sunday morning, it was reported that Lacy was found dead in Houston at just 24 years old. He was going to be selected in the 2025 NFL draft, but those plans were tabled following his arrest for his involvement in a crash that killed a 78-year-old man back on December 17.
Following the crash, it was reported that Lacy fled the scene without attempting to help or calling authorities. A grand jury was set to begin hearing evidence about the case on Monday morning.
At this point in time, Jacques Doucet of WAFB9 has reported that his death is a suspected suicide.
While a cause of death isn't official yet, Prescott sent a heartbreaking three-word message on his Instagram account. That message was to, "Ask 4 Help."
He also posted a caption along with that message.
"Please!!! Ask 4 Help. It doesn't have to end that way. It takes ALL of US," he wrote.
Lacy put together a strong career at LSU. He played five total college football seasons, two at Louisiana and three with the Tigers.
In the 64 career college games he played, Lacy racked up 162 receptions for 2,360 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown also reacted to the news of Lacy's death. He posted a three-word message on X, saying "Damn...RIP King."
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lacy's family and those close to him.
