There are several returning characters in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, both from the spinoff show's first season, and from the original Walking Dead series. Norman Reedus As Daryl Dixon

Actor: Norman Reedus was born in Hollywood, Flordia. Reedus had his breakthrough role in The Walking Dead, the prequel series to Daryl Dixon, where he played the same character. Though The Walking Dead was Reedus' first mainstream role, it wasn't his first successful project as an actor. Reedus also starred in The Boondock Saints in 1999, a movie which became a cult classic and even received a sequel in 2009. Since then, Reedus has branched out into various roles in both dramas and comedies, and he's even taken on video game performances like Death Stranding.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Norman Reedus plays the titular character of Daryl Dixon. Daryl had a long backstory in The Walking Dead, as he originally began as a redneck biker, but eventually grew into a caring and protective member of Rick Grimes' group of survivors. The Daryl Dixon show follows Daryl as he tries to piece together how he got from America to France, and his continuing struggle to survive in the zombie apocalypse.

Melissa McBride As Carol Peletier

Actor: Melissa McBride was born in Lexington, Kentucky. McBride's breakthrough role, like Norman Reedus, was on The Walking Dead, where she also played Carol Peletier. Aside from The Walking Dead and its various spinoff shows, McBride has appeared in several other dramas. For instance, she had a small role in The Mist, and she also appeared in episodes of Dawson's Creek and American Gothic.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride plays Carol Peletier, a fellow original member of Rick Grimes' group of surivors from The Walking Dead. In the original series, Carol and Daryl grew quite close, which inspired her to seek him out after he appeared in France. Carol will be a massively important figure in Daryl Dixon season 2 - the season even has the subtitle The Book of Carol. How exactly Carol fits into Daryl's life in France, however, remains to be seen.

Clémence Poésy As Isabelle Carrière

Though she was born in France, Poésy has had a notable career in American movies: she appeared in several Harry Potter movies as Fleur Delacour, she played Barbara, the doctor who explained time inversion in Tenet, and the drug dealer Chloë in In Bruges.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Poésy plays Isabelle Carrière, a nun at the Union of Hope and the aunt of Laurent. Isabelle played a key role in getting Daryl to fight for the Union of Hope, and she also played a key role in Laurent's upbringing.

Louis Puech Scigliuzzi As Laurent Carrière

Actor: Louis Puech Scigliuzzi was born in France. Scigliuzzi's first and only role to date has been as Laurent Carrière in Daryl Dixon. Since he has appeared in only one show, and since he is a minor, there is little information available about Scigliuzzi's acting career beyond the world of The Walking Dead.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Scigliuzzi plays Laurent Carrière, the son of Lily Carrière and Quinn, Isabelle's boyfriend. Laurent is, in many ways, the key to both Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead at large. Laurent's mother was infected while pregnant, and the Union of Hope now believes that he is the key to humanity's salvation from the zombie apocalypse.

Laïka Blanc-Francard As Sylvie

Her first role was in My Night, where she played an actress, and she has also appeared in French-language projects like Poupées de chair and Reign Supreme.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Laïka Blanc-Francard plays Sylvie, a nun at the Union of Hope. Sylvie was a nun even before the zombie apocalypse, and afterward she became a sort of older sister to Laurent. Sylvie will likely continue to be a big part of Laurent's upbringing in Daryl Dixon season 2.

Anne Charrier As Marion Genet

Actor: Anne Charrier was born in Charente, France. Charrier's breakthrough role came in 2006 when she portrayed Paula in Paid. Since then, Charrier has become a fairly prominent actor in French cinema and television, as she has appeared in dozens of projects like Cheeky Business and The Invitation. Daryl Dixon is her most prominent English-language show.

Character: In Daryl Dixon, Anne Charrier plays Marion Genet, the show's main antagonist and the leader of the Power of the Living political movement. In Daryl Dixon season 1, Genet wanted to destroy the Union of Hope because they were weakening her own movement, and she specifically targeted Daryl for destroying the test subjects she was using to research the Wildfire virus.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Supporting Cast & Characters

Joel de la Fuente as Losang: Joel de la Fuente plays Losang in Daryl Dixon, the leader of the Union of Hope. He is the main opposition to Genet's tyrannical rule, and a major player in France's political landscape. Losang is also fervently religious, though he also prepares the members of the Union of Hope to fight back against Genet.

Romain Levi as Codron: Romain Levi plays Codron on Daryl Dixon, a former member of the Power of the Living Group. At the end of Daryl Dixon season 1, Codron spared Daryl and his friends, and the trailers for season 2 indicate he's being tortured for that decision.

Adam Nagaitis as Quinn: Adam Nagaitis plays Quinn on Daryl Dixon, Laurent's father, a black market merchant, and the owner of the Demimonde nightclub. Quinn died in Daryl Dixon season 1, but given his relationships with Laurent, Isabelle, and other key characters, he'll likely appear in a flashback.

Manish Dayal as Ash: Manish Dayal plays Ash in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, an engineer and airplane pilot. Not much is known about Ash yet, but he seems to be the key to explaining how Carol got to France, given his airplane.
