With pressure in his face, Patrick Mahomes was able to lob a pass downfield that connected with Hopkins for 35 yards.
The two connected once again, this time on third-and-goal. Mahomes found Hopkins wide open in the back of the end zone for the one-yard TD reception – Hopkins' first TD with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now that Hopkins is finally in a winning-organization, the receiver had no choice but to bust out one of the most iconic celebrations in football - the dance from "Remember the Titans."
Maybe a slight dig towards the Tennessee Titans? Who knows. Hopkins' run with the Titans looked to be the twilight of his career, but after being traded for a conditional fifth-round pick on Oct. 24, Hopkins has something to prove to football fans and the Titans.
