The Detroit Lions have unveiled their highly anticipated 2025 NFL season schedule, and fans can expect a thrilling mix of prime-time matchups, holiday showdowns, and key divisional battles. Coming off an impressive recent campaign, the Lions will look to build momentum and make another push toward the postseason.

The season kicks off on September 7 with a road trip to face the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 PM on CBS, setting the tone with an NFC North rivalry clash. The Lions will then host the Chicago Bears on September 14 before heading into a Monday Night Football showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on September 22 at 8:15 PM. They’ll wrap up September with another divisional game against the Cleveland Browns on September 28.

October promises high-intensity action, beginning with a home game against the Cincinnati Bengals on October 5, followed by a Sunday Night Football battle against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 12. The month continues with a Monday Night Football matchup at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 20, before the team gets a well-deserved bye in Week 8.

The Lions return to action on November 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, then face the Washington Commanders on November 9. A Week 11 Sunday Night Football contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 16 and a road trip to meet the New York Giants on November 23 keep the stakes high. On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, the Lions will renew their rivalry with the Green Bay Packers in a highly anticipated holiday game.

December brings another round of tough opponents, starting with a Thursday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 4. The team will then face the Los Angeles Rams on December 14, followed by a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 21. One of the most unique matchups of the year will take place on Christmas Day, December 25, when the Lions host the Minnesota Vikings at 4:30 PM in a Netflix-exclusive broadcast.

 

The regular season will conclude with a yet-to-be-determined game against the Chicago Bears in Week 18.
