Dodgers’ Dave Roberts Says Tyler Glasnow’s Injury ‘Probably Not’ Long-Term Concern

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow exited Sunday’s start after just one inning. The 31-year-old had thrown just 17 pitches prior to making his untimely exit because of right shoulder discomfort.

The Dodgers placed Glasnow on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation. Dave Roberts said this week his shoulder issue is “probably not” a long-term concern, but the team doesn’t have much information right now.

Glasnow has dealt with a slew of injuries in the past two seasons. In 2024, Glasnow dealt with cramps, back issues, and an elbow sprain which kept him out for the postseason.

This season, he has already dealt with cramps and a shoulder injury in the opening month. Glasnow admitted that he was extremely frustrated, and understood why his injury saga is exhausting for fans.

“I’m just obsessed with trying to figure out what’s going on. And it’s been like this for a few years, and I’m trying to find a way to stay healthy, and I’ll try to do whatever,” he said Sunday. “I just don’t really have an answer right now, and I think that’s the most frustrating thing. It’s not a lack of trying. It’s just kind of just getting exhausting at this point. I know it’s probably exhausting for a lot of people, for me especially.. … I feel bad for my teammates. I feel bad for people watching. It’s just … a whole very frustrating situation for me. It’s hard.”
