The Philadelphia Eagles have built a reputation for being one of the top-run organizations in the NFL, and when it comes to paying their best players early they're ahead of the curve nearly every time.

That was the case when A.J. Brown received his three-year, $96 million extension with the Birds back in 2024, however, that deal constructed by Philadelphia general manager Howie Roseman continues to look better as more teams start to pay their best wideouts.

On Monday, the New York Jets gave their former first-round selection Garrett Wilson a $130 million extension over a four-year contract, which dwarfs Brown's deal given the extra year at the end of it.

Where does Brown's contract rank amongst wide receivers?

The Eagles will still have control over Brown's contract until the 2029 season, and according to Over The Cap, the veteran wideout is scheduled to have a cap hit of $17,523,497 this season for Philadelphia.

As things stand, Brown has the sixth-largest wide receiver contract in the NFL, trailing Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, DK Metcalf and Wilson.

Brown is slightly older than some of the other mentioned receivers at 28 year old, but his production continues to show that the Eagles have a great one that gels with star quarterback Jalen Hurts and the rest of the offense.
