Barkley's introduction to the Birds could not have gone better with the veteran scoring three touchdowns and recording over 130 total yards.

While the newest Eagle celebrated an excellent start, he was also still appreciative of the Giants for giving him his start overall.

"I'm thankful for the last six years that I had in New York. I wouldn't be the man I am today without it, and I still got great relationships with all those guys," Barkley said after the Eagles; 34-29 win over the Packers. "I even talked to [Brian] Daboll today, he wished me luck. So, still having a great relationship with those guys, but I'm just happy to be here, happy to be with this organization, and I just look forward to the future."

Barkley averaged over four yards a touch in the Eagles win - a sign that the organization is willing to use him all over the field behind their elite offensive line.

As the Eagles prepare to continue to turn the page of the 2023 season, Barkley closing the book on his time with the Giants seems to be in the works now.
