The Chicago Cubs have made their roster better this winter, but no team in Major League Baseball has done what the Los Angeles Dodgers have accomplished.

The Dodgers are the best team in baseball by a wide margin, and they're still looking for ways to improve their organization.

It isn't only about the elite free agents the Dodgers have signed. Their front office has looked for under-the-radar talent, and they'll have to hope they found one in their latest signing.

According to Tim Healey of Newsday, former Cubs draft pick Stephen Ridings has inked a deal with Los Angeles on a minor-league contract.

"Long Island's Stephen Ridings - formerly of the Mets and Yankees - recently signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers," Healey wrote.

Ridings didn't spend too much time with the Cubs after the team drafted him in the eighth round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He was traded to the Kansas City Royals in 2019 for Donnie Dewees.

The right-hander has been around the league a bit but has MLB experience, throwing in five games for the New York Yankees in 2021.

29 years old, Ridings will hope he has enough in the tank to eventually make the big leagues with the Dodgers, who have a loaded rotation and bullpen as currently constructed.
