Well, as it turns out, Drake won't be suing Kendrick Lamar after all. We didn't want to comment on any legal proceedings, but come on. The dude lost a rap battle. Sure, that isn't our business or anything, but that one hit home, maybe because we never really got over the pettiness from the Forty Whiners after getting their arses kicked by our Philadelphia Eagles in that NFC Championship Game.
Oops! We did it again... We meant to call them the San Francisco 49ers. That 'Whiners' thing just kind of slipped out. Like Drake, the Niners took an 'L' and were affected so negatively that they never really moved on.
So, here we sit. Drake is a punchline today, and Kendrick is still riding high following his Super Bowl 59 performance. But, when is Kendrick not riding high? Meanwhile, our Birds are also riding high despite sweeping changes that are remixing their roster.
Did you see what we did there?
Former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson drops a clip for his new rap video.
There's an old joke... Rappers want to be athletes. So many athletes think they can rap. C.J. Gardner-Johnson is another of the Eagles from last season's championship-winning roster that will be playing somewhere else next season.
There's no one like CJGJ though. Following the news of his trade to the Houston Texans, he went live on social media and tried to execute the same trade on EA's Madden NFL game. His point?
A video game even believes this is a bad idea.
This is the second time in three offseasons that C.J. has been allowed to walk after helping Philly reach football's biggest game. Don't expect him to drift into anonymity though. It appears the opposite is happening.
Ceedy just released a clip for his new rap video!
Okay, serious question... We haven't moved past that annoying autotune sound yet?
Forgive us Ceedy! You know we love you, but come on. We can't be the only ones who are tired of that, but anyway... We move on.
Let's just hope the new album doesn't have any diss tracks mentioning any well-known pop stars. We would love to see him take a shot at Deebo Samuel though. It really would have been nice to see those two go at it twice during a divisional game.
