The last thing Pittsburgh Steelers fans want to read is another Aaron Rodgers article without an official decision having happened.
So sorry to disappoint, but there is a major silver lining in this one. Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson spoke on Rodgers and the Steelers recently and threw his thoughts out into the open very simply.
"He's going 100%," Johnson said on the air.
Johnson is calling his shot. Rodgers is 100 percent going to be a Steeler, apparently.
Aaron Rodgers planning to be in Pittsburgh obviously explains the entire offseason
"Do you think that Aaron Rodgers wants to hold them hostage and then leave them standing at the alter? I don't," Johnson explained.
Johnson is known for his overly-ambitious personality and takes at times, but he is completely right with this thought. It's essentially what Steelers fans have been thinking for quite some time, now.
The 2025 NFL Draft cemented the notion that Rodgers will eventually be a Pittsburgh Steeler, and if you don't believe that, I'm not sure what to tell you.
Look, Rodgers' ego is massive. We know this much to be true. However, he isn't going to allow his legacy to be defined by stringing the Steelers along for months, only to back out and give them the ultimate slap in the face.
He doesn't care what people think about him (or so he says, publicly). But, I do not believe he would do something like that to the Steelers. He's already tested out the waters in Pittsburgh.
If you've been reading the tea leaves, all signs have pointed to Rodgers in a Steelers uniform. There's a reason the Steelers' depth chart looks the way it does right now. There's a reason Pittsburgh hasn't been all-in on going after the likes of a Kirk Cousins.
Johnson might not always be right with his post-playing takes in regards to the NFL, but this one seems way too obvious not to be true. Does he know something we don't? Does he have contacts in Rodgers' camp?
Who knows.
But, the fact is, Rodgers not signing in Pittsburgh would be more of a shock at this point than for him to indeed sign.
