New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is a six-time American League All-Star and two-time MVP. Winning the 2024 American League MVP award unanimously, Judge posted a 1.159 OPS, the highest in MLB since Juan Soto's 1.185 OPS in 2020.
For his career, Judge owns 173 OPS+ that is tied with Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout for first among active players. Judge's 315 career home runs rank 11th among active players, and at just 32 years old, the Yankees captain projects to quickly ascend up that list.
As he continues his dominance on the field, Judge announced some major personal news on Wednesday.
In an Instagram post, Judge shared that he and his wife Samantha Bracksieck had welcomed their first child, Nora Rose Judge.
"1/27/25 Nora Rose Judge 🌸 What an incredible week it’s been, can’t wait for the memories the three of us make," Judge captioned his post.
Judge's post received over 5,900 comments in the first eight hours it was posted, including one from former Yankees star Dellin Betances.
"Congrats to the fam," Betances commented.
A four-time American League All-Star with the Yankees, Betances spent the last two years of his MLB career with the New York Mets. The 6-foot-8 relief pitcher has remained involved in the New York community, despite last pitching for the Mets in 2021.
In 374 career appearances, Betances posted a 2.53 ERA, striking out 633 batters in 394.1 innings pitched.
Joining the Mets in 2020, Betances did not have nearly as much success in the National League, posting a 7.82 ERA in 16 appearances.
