George Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers are heading into a new season, looking to bounce back from a down year in the NFC.
Last season, the 49ers posted a 6-11 record, missing the playoff mark for the first time in the past four years. Before then, San Francisco was widely regarded as one o the top Super Bowl contender in the NFL.
As Kittle and the Niners prepare for their revenge tour, the San Francisco star shared an exciting post from the franchise.
On Monday, George Kittle reposted a 49ers announcement that mentioned Brent Jones would be inducted into the 49ers Hall of Fame, becoming the 33rd inductee to earn the prestigious honor.
Kittle was seemingly showing support for Jones, who was once one of the 49ers' most talented athletes.
Upon the release of the announcement, Jones shared his thoughts on the honor, thanking former coaches and players who helped him along the way.
"Receiving the call from Jed (York) was incredibly emotional for me, something that I will remember forever," Jones said. "It is truly the greatest honor of my life to be alongside the legends that comprise the San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame, one of the greatest franchises in all of professional sports. I want to sincerely thank my coaches and the teammates who poured into me and allowed me to be successful on and off the field."
George Kittle may be on his way to the San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame himself.
In his eight-year NFL career, Kittle has been named a two-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler. Last season, Kittle posted eight touchdowns and 1,106 yards on 78 receptions.
