The Boston Red Sox added to an already stacked farm system this summer when they drafted Braden Montgomery in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft.

Montgomery did not report to an affiliate after signing with Boston as he continued rehabbing a scary ankle injury he sustained during regional play with Texas A&M on the Aggies' path to the College World Series.

Since then, Montgomery returned to taking swings as he prepares for his first professional season in 2025. Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow shared in Boston's end of season press conference this week that Montgomery's injury is not a concern for the start of next year.

In the meantime, the Red Sox prospect took a chance to give back to a former travel ball program, taking his platform to donate Nike cleats to the team, as shared in a new video from his Instagram account.
