Jake Paul has made a rather bizarre comparison with Tyson Fury as he prepares for his fight against Mike Tyson which was rescheduled. The battle between Jake and the boxing legend was supposed to happen last month but due to Tyson’s ulcer complications, the fight was rescheduled for this November. Meanwhile, Paul fought and beat former UFC fighter Mike Perry in bare knuckle fight knocking him out in the sixth round.
Jake who weighed 230 pounds before the Tyson fight received criticism from Tyson referring to him as the “Fat” guy, but he has since garnered some muscles, referring to Tyson Fury.
Jake Paul’s Response to Tyson’s Criticism
Tyson participated in a bout in which Roy Jones Jr gave him a tough time back in November 2020. Some believe that Tyson could easily knock down Jake Paul and argue that Tyson still has it in him to make some more statements after retirement. Tyson was one of the notorious fighters of his time back in the ’80s and ’90s, but now at the age of 58, it is not certain that he will be able to give a challenging time to Jake Paul or he will KO Jake. He retorted to Tyson’s comments by referencing Buster Douglas, known for his surprising win over Mike Tyson in the 1990s, Paul said;
Hey, Buster Douglas was fat. Am I right? I know, but you know Buster Douglas, I’m better. I’m going to end you quicker than he did and you’ll remember that forever. You started me off. I appreciate that. Mike, I love you. I love you like a father loves his son, but I must discipline you. You’re going down, man
Tyson’s Defiant Stand
Despite his age and the long hiatus from professional boxing, Tyson remains confident about his ability to defeat him, Mike stated;
We’ve got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter who ever lived. He may have been in the ring with people who have the same intentions, but the actuality, no. As soon as I catch this guy its going to be totally over, he’ going to run.

His self-awareness bordering on the cockiness of referencing Tyson Fury plus the aggressive manner that he has responded to Tyson’s ill-worded comments, makes this fight appealing in terms of psychological warfare. In my opinion, Tyson is a deadly enemy having a long experience in boxing although he is old and has not fought in the ring for a long time.
