Jets Draft 'All-Around Playmaker' In Latest Mock

The New York Jets have Justin Fields as their quarterback for the 2025 season, and depending on how he fares, maybe 2026 too.

But for Fields to be a viable option, he needs weapons, which the Jets don't have, aside from Garrett Wilson.

Fields can't be expected to win with young players still making their way in the NFL world, and that is why general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn must put weapons around him.

Holding the No. 7 pick, the Jets are expected to add a playmaker for Fields, and for Marcus Mosher, in his latest mock draft for the 33rd Team, it's Penn State's Tyler Warren who comes to the Big Apple.

"Will Campbell and Armand Membou would be easy selections at No. 7 for the Jets, but both are off the board here," Mosher writes. "The Jets take Warren, who would pair nicely with Garrett Wilson and would give Justin Fields a big target in the passing game. Warren is an all-around playmaker and should easily be a top-10 tight end by as soon as 2026."

With Warren seen as a tough, gritty and violent offensive weapon, his mindset to exert his will over his opponents is something that Glenn will love.

Another thing he'll love is that Warren is a receiver in a tight end's body, as he can excel on all three levels and be a brutal player to take down with his yards after the catch as a feature.

Coming off a year that saw him post 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns from 104 receptions, that production would be welcome in New York.

Fields needs weapons, and at No. 7, one could argue that he gets one of the best in the draft to help kickstart this new regime.
