Joel Miller Is Back From the Dead With a New ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Hot Toys Figure

It’s been a rough year for Pedro Pascal fans after watching Joel Miller get the sharp end of a gold club stuck in his neck at the hands of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), but Hot Toys has just released a new figure to ease the hurt of those still in pain. Hot Toys has officially released the first collectible of Pascal’s Joel Miller from The Last of Us Season 2, perfectly encapsulating the episodes before his death, and even the flashback episode near the end of the season. The figure comes with a newly developed head sculpt showing Joel’s weathered and weary expression. He’s also fully prepped and ready for the apocalypse with a combat knife, classic revolver, and a highly detailed assault rifle capable of taking out hordes of infected.

Hot Toys has ventured well outside its most popular avenues, like Marvel and DC, lately to cover heroes from other franchises. Just earlier this week, the company released a new figure of Daniel Craig’s James Bond from No Time to Die, the 2021 blockbuster that saw him finish his work as 007. This news came not long after it was announced Denis Villeneuve would direct the next Bond movie under the Amazon banner. Hot Toys has even unveiled the first new figure from Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, showing Sam (Norman Reedus) packed up and ready for a journey. David Corenswet’s Man of Steel also got a new figure to commemorate Superman flying into theaters this weekend. The film has already been extremely well-received by critics and audiences thus far, and it’s eyeing a big opening weekend at the box office.

There’s Been a Shake-Up for ‘The Last of Us’ Season 3

After The Last of Us game creator Neil Druckmann worked side-by-side with Craig Mazin on the first two seasons of the hit HBO series, it was recently announced that Druckmann would depart the series along with writer Halley Gross, leaving Mazin to go at it alone for the third season. The Last of Us Season 3 will shift the focus off of Joel and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and move it to Abby, showing what she was doing while Ellie was hunting for her.
