Jordan Love Breaks Silence on Potential Packers Reunion with Davante Adams

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love recently addressed the possibility of reuniting with former teammate Davante Adams.

The wide receiver, who played for the Packers from 2014 to 2021, was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and subsequently to the New York Jets in 2024. During his tenure with Green Bay, Adams established himself as a premier wideout, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and becoming a favorite target for then-quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

On Friday's episode of the “Up and Adams” show, host Kay Adams posed a question to Love, hinting at the potential addition of Adams back in Green Bay.

“What if it’s a guy who has my last name?” Adams asked.

Love responded with a smile, stating, “I’m not mad about it. Davante, that’s my guy.”

He further elaborated, praising the former Packer.

“Obviously, I was with him for a good amount of time in Green Bay my first couple seasons, and I know exactly what type of player he is," said Love. "Phenomenal guy.”

Although Love and Adams were teammates during Love’s initial seasons with the Packers, their on-field collaboration was limited, as Love primarily served as a backup to Rodgers during that period.

Adams’ current contract with the New York Jets extends through the 2026 season, indicating that any potential reunion would necessitate a trade. The Jets acquired Adams in 2024 in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick.

The prospect of Adams returning to Green Bay has generated considerable discussion among fans and analysts. As the Packers prepare for the upcoming season, the possibility of reuniting Love with Adams adds an intriguing narrative to their offseason considerations.

While the outcome remains speculative, Love’s comments underscore the mutual respect and admiration between the two players, leaving the door open for future developments.
