Kansas City Chiefs DB Chamarri Conner uses the training camp heat as motivation

During Wednesday's training camp press conference, Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Chamarri Conner shared his thoughts on playing through the hot weather at Missouri Western State University and using it as motivation for the season.

"It was definitely tough. But you know, those are times we've got to push through. To get tough, we got to come tighter and just keep pushing through the practice." said Conner, "It do a lot for when it gets tough, you always think back to those times when you had to push through hot outside and it's the fourth quarter, you could go back to that mindset of just having a quick screw. When it's hard, you're tired, you've got a lot of plays. Just keep going."

Temperatures on campus reached triple digits over the last few days, with things getting hotter on the field as players made sure to stay appropriately hydrated.

Conner has appeared in 32 regular-season games over two years with the Chiefs. The former Virginia Tech standout has accumulated three interceptions and 113 combined tackles, forcing one fumble in his young professional career.
