Kyle Richards offered a surprising update on her friendship with Dorit Kemsley following the release of the season 14 trailer for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which saw the two women at odds on a number of occasions.

RHOBH's Kyle Richards Shares Unexpected Update on Dorit Kemsley Friendship, Reacts to Season 14 Trailer, and Says She's "Not Proud" of Certain Moments, Plus Talks South African Safari With Morgan Wade

As the 55-year-old mother of four also looked back on her trip to South Africa with Morgan Wade, 29, gushing over the “incredible” safari tour they took part in during an appearance on Amazon Live, Kyle opened up about where she stands with Dorit, 48, and reacted to the trailer, which teased her ongoing separation from Mauricio Umansky, 54.

“We’re way better than that trailer, I will say that. And we’re gonna leave it at that for now,” Kyle shared on Amazon Live in November.

According to Kyle, she was in South Africa when the RHOBH trailer was first released. And, as soon as she saw it, she thought, “‘Oh God … Buckle up. Here we go.'”

“This season was rough for me. I don’t know. It was rough for me, as you saw in the trailer,” she continued. “I’m not proud of some of the moments but in 14 years, that’s the first time it happened to me. I had a meltdown. I guess I was due.”

Moving on to the safari, Kyle said it was “so exciting.”

“I couldn’t even believe I was seeing these animals up that close, lions, right next to me, I’m like, ‘This goes against everything I was taught. Aren’t they going to attack us?’ No. It was unbelievable,” she shared. “We got to see the Big Five, the Super Seven. I love leopards and the fact that I got to see a leopard twice, and apparently that’s a very rare sighting. We got to see the wild dogs, which they said they hadn’t seen in nine months, and they’re out there every day. So that was amazing.”

While Kyle admitted it was “really weird to have the lions and the leopards so close to you and not feel threatened by them,” she said her most “Oh my God” moment was with an elephant.

“You could see that it was enormous, bigger than the other elephants we saw and it was just like, ‘Oh my gosh’ I couldn’t believe … I got nervous but it was just so breathtaking,” she explained.

As for who was with her aside from Morgan, who she was accused of “hiding” from her social media posts amid the trip, Kyle said, “It was a bunch of us.”

“Morgan Wade, she had a show there in Cape Town, and her manager Mary and the band … and it was a really great trip,” she stated.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 premieres on Tuesday, November 19, at 8/7c on Bravo.
